Get revved up for hot-rod pans

These red silicone pans from SiliconeZone are so soft and flexible, it seems impossible that they could produce sturdy baked goods.

SiliconeZone Funky silicone pans are nonstick and safe for the dishwasher, freezer and microwave.
But our experiences were good: We made a Bundt cake and muffins that turned out fine.

The silicone pans can withstand oven temperatures to 428 degrees and, even better, they are naturally nonstick. They also are safe for the dishwasher, freezer and microwave.

The pans cost $11.95 for an 8 1/2-by-4-inch loaf pan, $15.95 for a muffin pan or 8 1/2-inch square pan, and $17.95 for a bundt pan at Crate & Barrel. To order online, visit http://www.crateandbarrel.com/.
